This two-day seminar is a prerequisite for “Programming & Installing Daylight Control Systems”. This course provides a solid background in the basics of natural lighting control, fabric selection and system applications.  This class is required for all new dealers to understand the basics of the Lutron product offering.

Who Should Attend?
Lutron Window System Providers, including dealers and contractors

  • New Window System Providers must complete an application and fulfill all requirements prior to attending training. Contact your local Lutron Representative to obtain an application and to review requirements
  • Existing Window System Providers can visit the WSP Resource website (http://www.lutron.com/wsp, log-in required) to register

This Course Will Help You…

  • Identify the different facets of Lutron’s extensive natural light control product line
  • Specify shading fabrics from Sheer, Dimout and Blackout categories
  • Identify how fabrics influence basic concepts such as, visibility, heat gain, daylight harvesting and interior design of a space
  • Determine how to design a system for a residential or commercial space
  • Identify the difference between low voltage shading and traditional line voltage AC shading. The decorative trim options of Lineals for each system
  • Quote and order natural light control systems using Lutron’s software application Shade Configuration Tool (SCT).
  • Identify different hardware components (brackets, keypads, power panels and remotes) and when to specify them.
  • Accurately assess integration requirements to select which system (Sivoia QS, Sivoia QED, or Stanza) best applies to an application.
  • Describe how shading solutions can help increase sales
