Why is LED control important?
As the use of LED light sources expands and their use extends to general lighting, (not just used for highlighting anymore) it is more important than ever that these sources be controllable.
At home, the consumer expects their light source to be like an incandescent bulb, meaning that it is fully dimmable to less than 1%. From a commercial point of view, dimmable lights are critical for energy savings and increased productivity.
LED products must ensure that their dimming performance meets customer expectations and must specify which dimmers they are compatible with and the minimum level at which they can be dimmed.
